Dropping the bombs

One of my oldest clients called the other day with a job called "Drop the bombs" which literally meant "hey lets drop the bombs...from our agenda and you know, stop blowing up stuff." As always, this client had a clear vision of what he wanted to see which makes it very easy for me.

For this particular project he wanted bombs dropped in a garbage bin and wanted that "crime scene grungy look" applied to it. Generally this is not something I do, my stuff is poppy and clean however I was up for the challenege and took on the project.

And so it begins...

Everyone likes free, right? Well I've got your "free" right here … so put that in your book and mark it! If you head on over to my store, you'll see my new bookmarks for sale, but if you spend twenty dollars or more on art, I'll throw a bookmark in for free. Spend 30 or more and I'll add in a sticker as well, but only because I like you.

I was recently commissioned by the Alabama Symphony Orchestra (ASO) to do a Christmas postcard letting people know they can make year end donations. The project was much fun and the ASO was very pleased.

I recently was contacted by one of my oldest clients to do an illustration. It was about nuns being audited at a certain parish and apparently the sisters fired back saying they were not McDonalds and that someone just couldn't "have it their way."

The idea was to make "McNuns" serving customers. I've always loved doing work for this client, he always has the best ideas and funniest articles.
